Money Saving Mom is having a 4 week summer series on Frugal & fun things to do with your kids. Our family loves going to some of our cities parks. We live in a large city with multiple city parks, pools, dog parks, skate parks, etc….. We have been going to the dog park in our area that is adjoined by a pool, basketball court and children’s park.

My husband likes to take our 8 month old puppy to the dog park to socialize her. A lot of days we make it a family outing with the whole family. Well maybe minus the 14 year old who is way to busy for us.  My youngest son likes to skateboard while we are there.

 A picnic in the park is also a fun option. Today I had the 9 year old twins write out a summer wish list. I asked them to write down fun things that they would like to do in our town this summer. I am excited to cross off some of their wishes this summer.
